∙ A second Finnish forest trail (2 km) for restoration was opened in Seitseminen National Park on September 25, 2010 (“Health from the Forest” project, see underneath). The signposts are poems carved on stone-slabs (Kuru granite); restorative role-taking rehersals are printed on the leaflet which can be bought from the Seitseminen Visitor Center.

Runokangas, 2 km, yhdistää kulttuuria ja ihmisen hyvinvointia lisääviä harjoitteita. Polun varrelta löydät seitsemän eri aihepiirin runoa Kurun graniittiin kaiverrettuna. Kivet runotauluihin lahjoitti Tampereen Kovakivi Oy. Seitsemisen luontokeskuksesta on ostettavissa harjoitevihkonen (2 €). Runopolku lähtee luontokeskuksen pihasta. Polulla on jonkin verran korkeuseroja. Reitti on usein kuljettavissa myös talvella.

 

∙ Probably the world’s first forest trail (forest + countryside trail; 4,4, km and 6,6 km) with psychological signposts enhancing the restorative (stress-reducing) experience was opened on May 20, 2010 near Ikaalinen Spa. The signpost instructions aim to i.a. induce relaxation, improve mood, induce cognitive reflection and attentional restoration, and enhance the search for a favorite place which can be socially shared. We developed the trail in the “Health from the Forest” project 2008-2010 in co-operation with the Finnish Forest Research Institute (Parkano Unit) and Ikaalinen Spa. Suomen ensimmäinen elpymiskokemusta edistävä metsäpolku – Voimapolku – avattiin 20.5.2010 Ikaalisten kylpylään. Polulla on metsän ja ympäristön kokemiseen ja havainnoimiseen liittyviä harjoite- tai informaatiotauluja, jotka perustuvat metsien ja luontomielipaikkojen hyvinvointivaikutuksia käsittelevään tutkimustietoon.
